What OCC is
An AI Foundation. Not a product, not a company, not a community platform. An institution that treats open AI infrastructure as a public good — analogous to the Linux Foundation, Apache Software Foundation, and Mozilla Foundation.
OCC builds and operates open, public-benefit AI infrastructure. Accessible to all. Controlled by none.
We believe critical AI infrastructure should not lie exclusively in private hands. Open standards, open sources, open governance.

Source code, data, decisions: public and traceable. No hidden agendas.
Independence
No dependence on single companies or interests. Phase 2: independent legal entity.
Common Good
Infrastructure serves the public good, not private profit. Like Linux Foundation, Apache, Mozilla.

Long-term stability over short-term optimization. Permanently open — no exit strategy.

Everything OCC operates is auditable and explainable. CC-BY 4.0. EU-hosted. GDPR-compliant.
Relationship to Intelego
OCC was initiated by Intelego and is operated by Intelego during the founding phase. Full transfer to an independent legal entity is planned once sufficient community and governance structures are in place.
Intelego = founding member — not owner, not controller.
Roles & Open Positions
OCC needs people. Three roles are open — voluntary, remote, 2–8h/month.
Source Curator
Verifies new sources for copyright and GDPR compliance. Approves additions to the source registry.
Safety Reviewer
Red-team testing before releases. Checks for memorization and bias. Ensures release gates are met.
Community Steward
Coordinates RFCs and community votes. Maintains Code of Conduct. Onboards new contributors.
